If you’re going through something you don’t feel you can talk to anyone about or you're feeling like your efforts if nothing you’ve tried has helped, you’re not alone. Many people come to me when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next step. My current focus is supporting people who may only have space for shorter-term therapy, but still want meaningful change in their lives.
I often use Brief Solution Focused Therapy with clients who are looking for short-term support. It’s a collaborative, practical approach where we gently explore what’s already working, uncover your strengths, and figure out the small shifts that can move your life forward. I support clients through a wide range of challenges, including big life transitions, relationship changes, people pleasing, work stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, spirituality, and behaviour patterns that feel hard to interrupt.
In our sessions, you can expect a grounded and relaxed conversation. My goal is to approach you with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the person you are and the life you’ve lived. I will never make assumptions about your story. My current focus is supporting people who may only have space for shorter-term therapy, but still want meaningful change in their lives. I draw from several therapeutic approaches so that our work fits you, not the other way around. My priority is to meet you exactly where you are and adjust our pace and direction based on what you need each step of the way.
About Me
Who I Am & What Inspired Me To Become A Therapist
As a multiracial and multicultural person with Filipino and Egyptian heritage, growing up in Toronto meant navigating multiple cultures, religions, and identities and often feeling like I didn’t quite fit neatly anywhere. I was a shy and sensitive child, and being a child of divorce added to my early experiences. These moments shaped my curiosity about people, mental health, and how we cope with challenges we’re not always taught to navigate.
I’ve also navigated my own personal experiences with depression and anxiety. Understanding what it feels like from the inside gave me a deeper sense of compassion, for myself and for others who are trying to make sense of their emotions while still showing up for life. It’s part of why I feel so strongly about creating a space to talk that is gentle, validating, and grounded.
Later in university, I began to notice myself reflected in some of what I was learning about ADHD. I received my ADHD diagnosis later in life, and the process was far from easy. Like many others - especially women - I faced doubts and challenges from healthcare professionals who suggested that my presentation didn’t fit the “classic” ADHD profile. Through self-advocacy and staying informed about the diverse presentations of ADHD, particularly in women, I was finally heard and received my diagnosis. The process was at times frustrating and defeating, but ultimately, it was worth it. I know that many others face similar challenges, and that access to assessments isn’t always easy. I share my experience to help others feel empowered to seek the support they need and ensure their voices are heard. Understanding my neurodivergence allowed me to get the support I needed and to see my differences as strengths. It also deepened my belief that when we finally understand ourselves, we can move through the world with more compassion and less shame.
That self-discovery eventually led me to complete my Master’s in Counselling and I feel genuinely grateful to do work I care so much about.
On a Personal Note
I find so much joy and comfort in spending time with my dog, Ollie. Our walks where he insists on sniffing every tree and flower are my favourite grounding ritual. He reminds me to slow down, stay present, and breathe. Sharing meals with my family is another meaningful part of my life; eating together is our love language. As a neurodivergent person, I also deeply value my alone time. I’ve learned to enjoy a guilt-free “bed-rot” session with a good movie or show as a way to recharge.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can usually find me wandering through Winners, Marshalls, or HomeSense with an iced coffee in hand. Those little moments of joy are when I’m at my happiest.
